Tailored

Good Looking Sounds is the ongoing collaboration between composer Carmine Calia and researcher/selector Dante Fontana — an authentic audiovisual counterpoint built on analog instruments, magnetic tape, and a rigorous, restrained sense of narrative function.
Composed, not curated
Carmine develops the musical framework on authentic analog instruments, chosen for their specific timbral qualities — no sample-library shortcuts.
Tailored coloration
Dante intervenes during the act of composition itself, steering references, atmosphere and stylistic direction toward the director's brief.
Recorded to tape
Sessions run through a real analog console onto magnetic tape — dynamic coherence and timbral continuity, in service of the image.
A working library,
built for supervisors.
Organised by mood and instrumentation, cross-referenced by catalog number — in the tradition of the great production-music libraries, built for a contemporary international slate of film, TV and advertising work.
Cinematic & Orchestral
Scores and cues built from orchestral mock-up through to live tracking — tension, wonder, restraint.
Analog Electronic
Moog, ARP, Elka and Hammond-driven textures — modern narrative electronics with a tactile, hand-played source.
Library Grooves
Soul, beat and cosmic-jazz inflected rhythm sections, drawn from Dante's research into rare library recordings.
